First let me introduce you to Farhad, our newest delivery driver. We are super excited to have him join the LYKKI team. Farhad was recommended to us from one of our most famous drivers, Moe.
Within the first week delivering orders for LYKKI, Farhad showed his superstar qualities by helping a customer fix their printer. What happened was, while Farhad was making a delivery, the customer asked to have a toner sent back for a credit. Farhad instead asked what the problem was (the customer could not get it to fit in her machine) and helped the customer install the cartridge in her machine.
Why this is so spectacular is that Farhad has never delivered office supplies before yet he rolled up his customer service sleeves and found a way to help the customer on the spot! That is spectacular service from the heart and we are so glad he is part of the Lykki team!
Cheers and welcome Farhad.

Happy Administrative Assistants Day! Our Drivers will be handing out these nice little Bamboo Desk plants and Vases today. Here is an interesting article from Forbes.com that indicates Admin Assistants are some of the happiest workers in business. Ahhhhh, ya we always knew that Forbes :-)
A new study reveals employees value coworkers and personal control over compensation. If you think your administrative assistant hates her job, think again. A new survey from job site CareerBliss.com shows that they actually value their work, their colleagues—even their boss—more than dozens of other professions. Survey results revealed the top ten happiest professions in America. And yes, your secretary’s was one of them.

We recycle all your used Ink and Toner cartridges. Just give them to your friendly Lykki driver and we'll take care of everything.
Did you know we were the first office supply company in Canada delivering orders with an electric trike - we call it our ECO YIKE.
Did you know we deliver orders in our snappy reusable totes? Saving tons and tons of cardboard boxes. We Lykki.
You may be interested to know that we have gone from just a few hundred green products a few years ago, to now well over 3500 eco products. Almost every category of office supplies has some sort of eco alternative. And while selection has continued to increase, the cost has stedily decresed to a point where the green alternative is sometimes the same cost as the non green. Just the way it should be.
Looking good Gumby and Pokey!

For over 10 years we have been delivering our orders in signature red totes. A first in Vancouver, and long before the moving industry started using totes. I remember watching Dragon's Den a few years back and seeing FrogBox pitch their moving tote concept and thinking, hey this looks familiar. Kudos to FrogBox (he's a buddy of mine now) for picking up on the same thing we saw - replace cardboard boxes with reusable totes.
So we are happy to see our new snappy blue Lykki Totes in the building, and we can recycle the old red ones.

Time for our next All Hands Meeting. We can put a wraps on out Q1 theme "Keep Calm and Lykki On" after a successful rebrand. Q2 theme is Where's Wyatt? Based on the name of our new Enterprise Level ERP software system. We named the software project Wyatt after Wyatt Erp - get it?
All Hands are also about setting up the entire company for a focused march forward over the next quarter. We want every partner to know where we are at with our numbers, goals and strategic plans. It's also one more opportunity to talk about our KI Values and team build.
Q2 is all about the implementation of Wyatt and integration across all our software from CRM to ecommerce and back office. It will make life so much easier and more enjoyable for our partners and customers as we reduce the number of software running Lykki from 15 down to 3. There will be lots of training and long hours but most important is that we are all on board together.

OK, we had to give it a shot and make a Harlem Shake Video. Since we have a whole room full of costumes already (yeah, we like dressing up a lot here) it seemed only natural to film one. It was my son Aidan's idea (see blog post March 21st) and he really took charge of directing and sorting out who wore what costume. Have a look at our Lykki version and check YouTube for the hundreds of other variations on the same idea.
