Friday BBQ!

Friday BBQ to unwind after 2 stressful days without internet. Yummmm Bill's famous tandoori chicken.
When tough challenges hit a business - that’s the time to see a great team shine.
Super kudos to everyone at Lykki for going above and beyond to work around our down internet and still service our customers.

Demo days with our new Clients Canadian Western Bank. Lykki will be servicing coffee, water and supplies in all 19 branches in BC.
You can tell by how friendly the staff is that this company has an amazing culture. Even their CEO sent out an company wide email trumpeting the decision to switch to a local supplier (from Van Houtte). Let the great coffee start flowing!!

Food Drive Boxes

Boxes for a Christmas season Food Drive!

Here's a stack of Food Drive boxes, ready to go!

Another Lykki for Good project. We created some food bank hampers to send out to customers. Let’s see if we can gather some goodies for the Food Bank. A special thanks to a special customer who gave us the idea.
Cheers

Soup's On!

We started a new tradition - SOUP Days.

Nothing beats a warm bowl of soup on a cold day, so every Wednesday and Friday we brew up a big pot of soup for everyone at the Lykkiplex. Recently we added 12 different types of soups to our website – the real restaurant kind, not the canned stuff. So we thought we better taste them all and before you know it Soup Days started.  Pop on by any Wednesday or Friday and grab yourself a bowl - Soup's On!

Cheers

Our ONEBOX program continues to grow!

Many of you may have heard of the big fire recently that destroyed part of an apartment complex at 900 Clarke Road in Port Moody. One of our staff's friends personally knew someone from there who lost everything. She went searching through the OneBox donations and came up with clothing for mom, dad & their 10 yr old son. We will contact a person in charge of collecting items for all the families and see if we can donate some more.

We were able to give this family warm jackets, scarves, runners, shirts and pants, binders, paper, a back pack for school and even a lunch kit.

Sorting through donations

Lykki OneBox donations made this possible!

How new data-collection technology might change office culture

Interesting approach - I wonder what would happen if you strapped it to the office dog?

Imagine a tiny microphone embedded in your office ID badge. Sound far-fetched? In fact, a growing number of companies are using such data-collecting devices…

Why you should swap a corporate boardroom for a company kitchen

Great idea - board rooms are boring.

http://www.fastcompany.com/1836414/why-you-should-swap-your-corporate-boardroom-company-kitchen

Turns out, preparing and breaking bread with clients can nurture both the people at a company, as well as nourish its bottom lines. This is the story of what happened when the principals at Universal Value Advisors traded their Brooks Brothers for butcher's knives.
