Time to show a little Love with a Sales Department Appreciation Day. As usual, the Culture Club put on a great event with yummy food, decorations and massages all day.

Snappy Wheels

truck

Wow, a special day today. First an Easter parade, then the delivery of our new style trucks. Check out the neat side door to keep our drivers safe from traffic and off load orders lickety split. These new trucks have super efficient engines that sip fuel compared to our old trucks we will be retiring. I looked at electric and unfortunately the cost and driving distance limitations just don't work for us yet. But I'm hopeful we can add some electric trucks in a few years.

The environment is always on our mind and carbon emissions from trucks can be the main contributor to green house gasses. At Lykki we really focus on our trucks driving the least ammount of distance each day and having the highest average order size possible. Our $75 minimum order for free delivery really shows we put the environment before profits because small orders can really be harmful to the environment. Larger orders = less deliveries = less emissions.

Our Culture Club is a group of at Lykki who create all our wacky parties and appreciation events. So when they asked Shawn and I to help our with a surprise Easter Parade, how could we say no? Little did we know it meant dressing up as a Chicken and the Bunny from A Christmas Story movie.
As good sports we tried to have some fun with it and grabbed the EcoYike for a full building tour, handing out treats along the way. A little self deprecating humor breaks down the walls and makes us all more approachable and builds an open and honest culture.

Training starts early at Lykki.

Aidan
During Spring Break my oldest son Aidan (9) asked to come in to work with me (proud dad moment).
He helped package hundreds of free sample packs, learned how to ride the EcoYike and came up with a fun team building idea to make a Harlem Shake Video. He came back 4 days in a row, and it was great to see how respectful he was around other Partners. Sometimes you wonder how your kids will act in the real world after all the guidance and nurturing you have done. Bringing him to work for that extended a time really showed his work ethic and enthusiasm - now how do I bottle that and get him to do his homework???

Happy Patties Day!

~gm5048
This weekend is St. Patrick's Day. Yes, it falls on a weekend - so let the parties begin!
Today is the last delivery day and we thought it would be fun to have our Delivery Partners drop off handfuls of Chocolate Gold Coins in the spirit of the day.
Chocolate, Gold, Friday, Parties and Green Beer - what an awesome day!!

Employee Appreciation Day

thanks
I'm usually a pretty reserved guy but I try and be conscious and offer gratitude whenever I can.
Today was wonderful in that I was able to take my hand written cards with a little gift and personally deliver them to every Partner at Lykki I could find.
It was great to look them in the eye and let them know 1:1 that I appreciate them. It sounds so simple and seems so easy - why don't we all do it more often.
I keep a stack of Thank You Cards at my desk and do my darnedest to write several a week.
Cheers
